Lachesis
Lachesis, in Greek mythology, is the one of the three Fates - Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos - that spun the thread of life and apportioned the destinies of man. She was the the measurer of the thread of life spun by Clotho, her elder sister. Her younger sister is Atropos. Lachesis is normally clothed in white. It is she who is said to instruct the souls who are about to choose their next life, assign them lots, and present before them all kinds of lives, including human and animal, to choose from.In Hesiod's Theogony, they were the daughters of Nyx (Night), in some later texts of Zeus and Themis. In the Republic of Plato Lachesis was presented as the daughter of Necessity.
