Ladakh
Ladakh is a Union Territory of India which came into being from October 31, 2019. It was carved out by an act of parliament passed in August 2019 after abrogation of Article 370 and splitting the state into two Union Territories named Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Ladakh has an area of 59,146 sq km. Leh is its capital city.There are two districts in the state.
Kargil District and Leh District
There is only one Lok Sabha Constituency named Ladakh Lok Sabha Constituency. This Union Territory has no Legislative Assembly, and therefore there is no Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) constituency.
However, when it was part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the extent of Ladakh Lok Sabha Constituency was based on population figures of Ladakh district in 1976 - which included the Vidhan Sabha constituencies - 47 Nobra Vidhan Sabha Constituency, 48 Leh Vidhan Sabha Constituency, 49 Kargil Vidhan Sabha Constituency, and 50 Zanskar Vidhan Sabha Constituency.
