Lichfield

Lichfield is an ancient ecclesiastical city in Staffordshire in England, 15 miles South-East of Stafford, an episcopal see since 656, with a cathedral in Early English style, completely restored in 18th and 19th century after the damage during the Civil War during 1642-1651 under bishop John Hacket. It has an ancient grammar school, a museum, and school of art; the birthplace of Samuel Johnson; its industries are brewing, coachbuilding, and implement making.
