Martin Behaim

Martin Behaim (1459-1507) was a German geographer and chartographer, born in Nüremberg. He accompanied Diego Cam on a voyage of discovery along West coast of Africa. He constructed and left behind him a famous terrestrial globe. Some would make him out to be the discoverer of America.
