Max Duncker

Max Duncker (1811-1886), full name Maximilian Wolfgang Duncker, was a German historical writer, born in Berlin. He held a professorship at Halle and Tübingen, and became a minister of State. He wrote among other works a work of great learning, in seven volumes, entitled the "History of Antiquity".
