Maxwell Anderson

Maxwell Anderson (1888-1959) was a US playwright known mainly for his plays dealing with social and moral problems of the contemporary society. Many of his plays are written in verse. He also wrote historical dramas such as Elizabeth the Queen (1930).

His other famous works are Key Largo (1939), Anne of the Thousand Days (1948), and The Bad Seed (1954).
