Mehao Lake

Mehao Lake is the name of a lake situated in Lower Dibang Valley district in Arunachal Pradesh in India. This natural lake is located at about 14 km from Roing at an altitude of nearly 3000 ft. It is part of Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary. The lake is spread over an area of about 4 sq km.

A large number of wild ducks are found here. It has clear water and is extremely rich in flora and fauna in its surrounding. Geologists have classified this Lake as Oliogotropic (Low Nutrient) Lake, which means a lake where there is no fish.
