Moldavia
Moldavia was once an independent region in Central and Easter Europe. It existed during the 14th century to 1859. It united in 1859 with Wallachia, and in 1881 became part of the northern division of Roumania. The region lies between the Carpathians and the Pruth River, and is well watered by the Sereth. Its chief town was Jassy, in the North East.Nearby pages
