Monseigneur D'Artois
Monseigneur D'Artois, originally Charles Philippe, Count of Artois, afterwards Charles X (1757-1836) the king of France from 1824 to 1830, famed, as described in Carlyle's "French Revolution," for "breeches of a new kind in this world". He was brother of Louis XVI (1754 – 1793) the last king of France before the French Revolution.Nearby pages
