Paresh Guha

Paresh Guha was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was born in February 1910 February, at Kukutia, Dacca, now in Bangladesh. He was son of Late Suresh Chandra Guha. He joined Anusheelan Samity in his early teens. His education qualification was Intermediate Science from Rangpur College. He was arrested, escaped and the rearrested in 1932. Subsequently, he was sentenced for Interprovincial Conspiracy Case a prison term of 7 years. He was deported to Andamans. He took part in the second hunger strike there. In January 1938, hew was repatriated. He was released from jail in April 1943 but detained immediately under D.I.R. within the jail office. His final release from jail came in January 1946. His total jail period was more than fifteen years.
