PEDRO ALVAREZ CABRAL

PEDRO ALVAREZ CABRAL (1460-1526), a Portuguese navigator, sailing for the Indies, drifted on the coast of Brazil, on which he planted the Portuguese flag, 1500, and of which he is accounted by some the discoverer, continued his course, and established a factory at Calicut in 1501.
