Puttaparthi
Puttaparthi is a small town in the Ananthapur District of Andhra Pradesh in India. The town is located on the banks or Chitravathi River and is surrounded by undulating hills. It is famous for its being Sathya Sai Baba's home town.Prasanthi Nilayam, or the abode of peace, is the major attraction of this place. The Nilayam was constructed in 1950.
Sathya Sai Baba's ashram is here, who is considered to be a reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba. There are also several temples.
