Robert Bridges

Robert Bridges (1844 - 1930), full name Robert Seymour Bridges was an English poet and Poet Laureate from 1913 to 1930. He is known as the author of many well-known Christian hymns. He was a doctor by training but gained great literary fame late in life. He published anthologies in which included some of the matured poems of Gerard Manley Hopkins which became instrumental for great posthumous fame of Hopkins.
