Robert Catesby

Robert Catesby (1573-1605), was an English Catholic of good birth, born in Northamptonshire, the leader of the group of English Catholics concerned in the famous Gunpowder Plot of 1605. He was shot dead three days after its discovery by officers sent to arrest him.
