Santali is a language of Santal Pargana in Jharkhand state of India. This language is a member of the Munda subfamily of Austro-Asiatic languages, related to Ho and Mundari. It is spoken by about six million people in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. Apart from Jharkhand, santhali is spoken also in Assam, Bihar, Orissa, Tripura, and West Bengal. It is written in Ol Chiki script.
