Santorin

Santorin, also called Thera, is a volcanic island in the Aegean, one of the Cyclades. It is the southmost of the group, and lies 70 mile North of Crete. The vine grows luxuriantly, and there is a good wine trade. It has many interesting prehistoric remains. Its chief town, Thera or Phera, is situated on the West coast.
