Santosh Kumar Dutta

Santosh Kumar Dutta was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was born in 1911 at Moneshwar, Dacca, now in Bangladesh. He was son of Suraj Chandra Dutta. At the age of 14, he joined Yugantar Party. He participated in Charmuguria post office action and subsequently arrested, tried and sentenced to 7 years R.I., and then deported to the Andamans jail. There, he participated in both the hunger strikes. He was repatriated in 1937 and ultimately released in 1938. His total jail period was about 8 years.
