Second Duke of Cambridge
The Second Duke of Cambridge (1819 - 1904), George William Frederick Charles, was the son of the First Duke of Cambridge Adolphus Frederick the youngest son of King George III. He was a cousin to the Queen. He was born in Hanover. He served in the army, became commander-in-chief in 1856 on the resignation of Viscount Hardinge, retired in 1895, and was succeeded by Lord Wolseley.Nearby pages
