Sheriffmuir

Sheriffmuir is a barren spot stretching North of the Ochils, in Perthshire, in Scotland, 5 miles North-East of Stirling. It was the scene of an indecisive conflict between 9000 Jacobites under the Earl of Mar and 3500 Royalists under the Duke of Argyll on November 13, 1715.
