Singarayakonda

Singarayakonda is a religious place in Prakasham district of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is located on the National Highway 5.

Singarayakonda is famous for Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple and the Brahmotsavalu celebrations that are held every year in June. There are also several other well-known temples in the area which include the Temple of Yoga Narasimha, the Ayyappa Swami Temple and the Temple of Prasannajaneya, which is home to a Lord Hanuman statue.

The history of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple dates back to the 15th century and is evident from the inscriptions, which record the plastering of the temple. During the 16th century, the temple gained popularity when the king, Sri Krishnadevaraya, established five villages to support the temple.

Thousands of devotees throng to the area to participate in the Brahmotsavalu celebrations.
