Sir Josiah Mason
Sir Josiah Mason (1795-1881) was an English industrialist, Birmingham manufacturer, and a philanthropist, born at Kidderminster. He made his fortune by split rings, steel pens, and electro-plating. He founded an orphanage at Erdington at the cost of nearly £300,000, and the college at Birmingham which bears his name.Nearby pages
