Sir Squire Bancroft

Sir Squire Bancroft (1841 – 1926) born Squire White Butterfield, was an English actor. He was born in London. He made his first appearance in Birmingham in 1861. He married Mrs. Wilton, an actress. He opened with her the Haymarket Theatre in 1880. He retired in 1885, at which time both retired, and appeared since only occasionally.
