St Cloud
St Cloud is a town in the department of Hauts-de-Seine, one of the three departments that were formed of the former department of Seine-et-Oise, France. It occupies an elevated site near the Seine, 10 miles West of Paris. The fine château, built by Louis XIV's brother, the Duke of Orleans, was for long the favourite residence of the Emperor Napoleon, since destroyed. It had been a part of the park which was occupied by the Sèvres porcelain factory. The town is also famous for the Saint-Cloud porcelain produced there from 1693 to 1766.Nearby pages
