Surrey
Surrey is an inland ceremonial county, and one of the fairest of England, in the southeast between Kent (East) and Hampshire (West), with Sussex on the South, separated from Middlesex on the North by the Thames. The North Downs traverse the county East and West, slope gently to the Thames, and precipitously in the South to the level Weald. It generally presents a beautiful prospect of hill and heatherland adorned with splendid woods. The Wey and the Mole are the principal streams. Hops are extensively grown round Farnham. Croydon and Guildford are chief towns.Nearby pages
