Thomas Andrews

Thomas Andrews (1813-1885) was an eminent Irish physicist and physical chemist. He was born in Belfast where he also worked as a professor. He is known for his discovery of the critical temperature of carbon dioxide. His work regarding ozone is particularly noteworthy. He was the first scientist who showed that ozone is an allotrope of oxygen.
