Thomas Aubrey de Vere

Thomas Aubrey de Vere (1814-1902) was an Irish poet and prose writer, born in county Limerick, Ireland. He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin. He wrote poetical dramas of "Alexander the Great" and "St. Thomas of Canterbury". His first poem ws "The Waldenses". He is also known for his critical essays.
