Ullaskar Dutta

Ullaskar Dutta was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was son of Dwijadas Dutta. He was a degree holder in Agriculture from London University and a student of Presidency College, where he thrashed Professor Russell for uttering derogatory remarks on Bengalese and was expelled from College. He was an expert in the manufacture of high explosives. He was arrested in Alipore Bomb Case, and subsequently sentenced to death. On appeal, his sentence was commuted to life and then was deported to the Andamans jail. Due to brutal torture in Cellular Jail he lost his mental balance and was repatriated and released in 1920. However, he was arrested again in 1931 for violating P.C.144 and awarded 18 months imprisonment.
