Will Rogers

Will Rogers (1879 - 1935), full name William Penn Adair Rogers was a US vaudeville performer, actor, and humorous social commentator. He was born as a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, in the Indian Territory (now part of Oklahoma), and is known as "Oklahoma's Favorite Son". He made 71 films out of which 50 were silent films and wrote over 4000 syndicated newspaper columns. He died in airplane crash in northern Alaska.
