In Madhya Pradesh, innovations are being done in agriculture year after year. They are showing their results. On agricultural front, the state has achieved marvellous success. Agricultural growth is the USP of the state. Agricultural growth has strengthened the rural economy. MP has left many states behind in agricultural growth. Growing agriculture has opened the avenues of industrial development. During last ten years, the irrigation capacity has been raised many folds. A number of water bodies were built. Many dams were made. The state used MGNEGRA for the digging of wells. Balram Ponds Programmes were undertaken. In this way, irrigation facilities were developed. Availability of power was raised and hence the irrigation was made easy.
At least 10 hours power is available for irrigation in the state. Sharbati wheat gave new identity to the state. Attempts are being made to give the status of Basmati to the paddy grown in the state. Fisheries were also developed so as the activities allied to agriculture. Agricultural machineries were made easily available in the villages. To take instant decisions, Agricultural Cabinet was formed. Krishi Vigyan Kendras were used to educate the farmers in all districts. E-earnings scheme for wheat was appreciated all over the country.
Measures for industrial development were also taken. Textiles hubs were created. Skill development centres were opened. IT parks were developed. Small Scale Industries were also encouraged. All facilities were given to the entrepreneurs. Sufficient power is available in MP. Global Investors Summit were held four times and they attracted lakhs of investment. Initial MOU was given more importance, but during 4th Summit, Expression of Interest was understood to be sufficient. Land Bank was made in the state. Industries will be given land only from this bank. The CM has made it clear that no farmer would be forced to depart their land for industries. In Global Investors Summit, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated the CM for industrial development of the state.
Agri industry and food processing are being given priority in view of the agricultural growth. Fast Moving Consumer Goods companies have great scope in the state because of high agricultural growth and food grain availabilities. Investments worth Rs two and half lakh crores are going on in the state, which constitutes both private and public investments by Central Public Sector undertakings. Along with Make in India, the slogan of Make in MP is also being raised in the state.
It is a big achievement of BJP to see Shivraj Singh Chauhan completing his 10 years as CM with commendable success in both agriculture and industries. The state was once facing BSP (Bijli, Pani and Sadak) problems. Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been able to make the state free from their scarcities. Now it has moved ahead on the path of high economic growth. (IPA)

BHOPAL: Shivraj Singh Chauhan is celebrating 10 years of tenure as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Under his rule, the state has joined the club of developed states of the country. BJP has got two third majority in Madhya Pradesh Assembly in 2003 on the issue of Road and Power. After Uma Bharti and Babulal Gaur Shivraj Singh Chauhan became the CM of the state on 29th Novermber, 2005. Now he has completed 10 years in his office. During these years he gave more emphasis on the schemes of social development and in addition he also worked for agricultural and industrial growth. He made his image as a son of the farmer on national level. Under him, the state got National Awards for Excellence in agriculture continuously. He organized Global Investors Summit, which helped the state economy to grow.
