The oldest organization of Indian Muslims is holding two-day All India conference on “Message of Islam to the Humanityâ€, here on October 18-19
Addressing a press conference here today the general secretary of the Jamiat Maulana Asghar Ali Imam Mahadi Salfi said that the message of Islam has always prompted its followers to come ahead in any fight for virtues and against vices.
“This was the spirit with which Ulama-e-Sadiqpur (Islamic scholars of Sadiqpur) of Bihar played a pivotal role in our Independence struggle†he said.
He said that there is a long list of people including Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who were imbibed with the spirit of Ahle Hadees school of thought who played a significant role in the Independence struggle and are engaged in the nation-and-community-building in the post-Independence India.
Maulana Asghar Ali said that terrorism has no religion. “A person alleged/ convicted to be a terrorist may be belonging to a particular religion, but the religion he belongs to can't be blamed for his any doing†Maulana contended
He said that while Islam stands for peace and justice and opposed to force, coercion, terror and injustice, yet these days it is being accused for sponsoring/ patronizing terrorism.
Maulana said that the coming all India conference would try to negate the wrong perception about the Islam.#
