So much so that CM Akhilesh used Ayodhya for his own benefit when prominent sants blessed him at a function held in Lucknow.

What could be a better blessing for the young chief minister when revered sants from Ayodhya called Akhilesh Yadav as “Krishna Incarnate”?

A group of Ayodhya sants led by Jagadguru Sridharacharya and Mahant Gyan Das of hanumangarhi praised Akhilesh for having done more for Ayodhya than others.

Ayodhya seers also praised chief minister Akhilesh Yadav for taking personal interest in laying foundation of Rs 5 crore for bhajan sandhyasthal.

Significantly enough, at a time when Gorakhpur MP Mahant Adityanath and VHP-RSS-BJP are talking about reviving the Ram temple issue for polarisation in 2017 elections, Mahant Gyan Das said that they wanted the temple built on milk not on blood. He also condemned those forces who were bent upon on capitalising on the Temple issue for their own goal. He also said that he had best of relations with oldest litigant of Babri mosque and Ram temple title case, Hasim Ansari who recently expired.

In the presence of Ayodhya sants, chief minister Akhilesh felicitated pilgrims of Kailash Mansarover and Sindhu Darshan and distributed financial assistance to them which was highest in the country.

So much so Mansarover Nishkam Sewa Samiti president Udai Kaushik said that Akhilesh government was giving a cheque of Rs 50,000 to each pilgrim of in UP while (BJP ruled) Gujarat was giving only Rs 20,000.

In order to win over the Hindu community, Akhilesh Yadav government has also started free Samajwadi Shrawan Yatra for old people to visit temples through special trains. The selected persons are lodged in a special train to take them to designated temple in other states and all expenses are borne by the government. Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and senior ministers always make it a point to be present the railway station to flag off the train. And during returning journey also these old pilgrims are received by the ministers.

The political analysts feel that with such efforts Akhilesh Yadav government has attempted to give the impression that it was looking after the interests of all communities and castes. Earlier allegations were leveled that state governments were only interested in giving subsidy to Haj pilgrims.

Akhilesh Yadav government has announced development plans for Kashi (Varanasi), Mathura and Ayodhya. CM Akhilesh Yadav had already ordered renovation work around Kashi Vishwanath temple and gave 50 acre of land for Krishna theme park in Mathura.

CM Akhilesh Yadav made a political move when he sent a group of sants to Kairana to find out about the so-called exodus of Hindu community as claimed by BJP MP Hukum Singh. Significantly enough, the group of sants who visited Kairana supported Akhilesh Yadav government and condemned BJP propaganda. (IPA Service)
