In a statement today, the central secretariat of the CPI said that the Party is seriously concerned at continuing deterioration in India-Pakistan relations after Uri incident. While appreciating the well planned action of the Indian army, the CPI said that the escalation of hostilities cannot be any option to find appropriate solution.
The CPI statement however mentioned that the Pakistan government, particularly its armed forces use terrorism as a tool to advance their foreign policy goal and the situation after the Uri killings of the Indian soldiers made it inevitable to take action by the Indian army.

NEW DELHI: The Communist Party of India has urged the Indian Government to continue with the diplomatic and political moves to defuse tension and to open all possible channels to initiate dialogue with Pakistan to stop cross border terrorism.
