There is no doubt that the party organization now headed by Shivpal Yadav is confronting the government headed by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav but among the common people of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh has emerged as a honest politician who is trying hard to improve the lot of underprivileged.
But the bickering are still continuing at the Party level. Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav asked his younger brother Shivpal Yadav to remove minister Pawan Pande from the party for six years for his alleged role in beating up party MLC Ashu Malik at CM residence. Shipal Yadav also asked the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to sack Pawan Pande from the ministry, but Akhilesh defied the state SP president and is still keeping his supporter Pande in te ministry.
Chief Minister is also no mood to take back Shivpal Yadav and three other ministers who were sacked recently on the plea that they were working for controversial MP Amar Singh.
He made it clear that he would not take them back in the ministry till all his supporters and members of core team including MLCs were not taken back in the party. He is also insisting that his uncle Ram Gopal Yadav MP should also be taken back.
Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav consolidated his position of chief minister at the meeting of legislature party at his residence and got more 200 legislators in attendance.
At a time when opposition was saying that Samajwadi Party was in minority, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav met the governor Ram Naik and explained the situation to him. He said that he commands majority in the assembly and his government was functioning normally without any adverse impact of the SP developments.
Now chief minister Akhilesh Yadav is preparing to take his Vikas Rath Yatra to all over the state from November 3 from Lucknow to launch campaign for mission 2017 on the basis of his image and good work done by his government during last five years.
Chief Minister unfolded his future plan and strategy at a meeting of his core team at his residence on October 26. The meeting was attended by the members of his core team including few MLAs and MLCs.
While addressing, chief minister Akhilesh Yadav was confident that he would form the next government and his party would get full majority on the basis of good work done by his government.
Akhilesh Yadav asked his supporters mainly youth to spread out all over the state and work for victory of the party.
He asked them that they should not be worried whether they were getting support from any quarter (party organization) or not .The goodwill of government and his own image would work in getting support from the citizens of the state.
While talking about the resistance from party organization and its leaders somebody asked Akhilesh Yadav to form a separate party. To which Akhilesh Yadav said that he would never break the party as Samajwadi Party was his own party and he would never allow any split in the party. Akhilesh said he sincerely believed in the ideology of the party.
Talking about confrontation in the party, Akhilesh Yadav said it was due to conspiracy of certain individuals who were feeding wrong information to his father Mulayam Singh Yadav. But at the same time, Akhilesh told his team members that he had learnt from his father to fight the conspirators which he would be doing to save the party.
Asit Yadav, close associate of Akhilesh Yadav said that the chief minister informed the core team members that there would be change in the style of functioning of his government which would be more people oriented.
Akhilesh further said that he would provide latest technology to all government hospitals at district headquarters.
He also assured that law and order would be improved and police at thana level would also be monitored and he would ensue that FIRs were lodged.
Significantly, Akhilesh told his team members that he never supported negative politics and asked the workers to go to masses with positive mind.
He said that there was no need to abuse the opposition as the people of state were aware of the good work done by his government.
Emphasizing on the need of use of social media in election campaign, Akhilesh Yadav informed his core team members that with more people using mobile and whatsapps, there was need to adopt new methods of communication for campaign.
Admitting delay in the campaign due to crisis in the party, Akhilesh Yadav told his core team members that his rath yatra was late by one month so more efforts were required to reach out to masses in remaining months to spread the message of various welfare schemes of the government. He was confident that the people of Uttar Pradesh will be extending massive support to his welfare programmes by electing the SP candidates in the coming assembly elections. (IPA Service)
