K V Prasad got 98 votes as against Shishir Soni's 35. J B Celestine had 30 votes in his favour.
Anil Anand was elected for Vice President. He got 93 votes as against Shobhna Jain's 34, Andalib Akhter's 22, R C Pandit's 7 and Atul Kumar's 4 votes.
With 76 votes in his favour, Rajeev Ranjan Nag declared elected for the post of General Secretary. The other candidates contesting for the post were Vinay Kumar (62 votes) and Dr Manas Banerjee (23).
Mannan Kumar won the election with 82 votes polled in his favour, while the other candidates Girija Shankar Kaura got 44 and Atul Kumar 16 votes.
Abhijit Roy Chowdhury was declared elected unopposed.
The five winners for the Executive Committee were C K Nayak (92 votes), Nigamanand Prusty (87 votes), A Krishna Rao (77 votes), Amit Agnihotri (76 votes) and Onkar Singh (51 votes).
Other candidates contesting for membership of the Executive Committee were Sachidanand Verma (50 votes), Girija Shankar Kaura (49 votes), Satish Jugran (32 votes), Rajesh Kumar Alakh (14 votes), Sanjay Jha (48 votes), S H Shams (42 votes) and R C Pandit (26 votes).#

New Delhi: K V Prasad was elected to the post of the President of Press Association, the body of journalists accredited to the Press Information Bureau, Government of India, while Rajeev Ranjan Nag was re-elected as General Secretary in the election held today at the Press Club of India.
