According to the CPI, Till the actual beginning of the Summit there was apprehension that it may not take place which has gratified the opponents of any such meeting. But the opponents proved to be wrong when President Trump left the G-7 meeting in Canada mid-way and landed in Singapore. “Though the joint statement has not clarified many issues, the CPI welcomes the joint meeting as a bold move to go ahead for peace in the Korean Peninsula that will pave way for such more positive moves in many other parts of the world,” the statement added.

The CPI said that it is the duty of all peace loving people to explain the all possible pros and cons of the new accord and use the opportunity to force many more such initiatives in different parts of the world particularly in our sub-continent.
