Think tank of the BJP is now working on a new strategy and asked its leaders not to air their views on the issue, sources said.
BJP Chief Rajnath Singh has also been advised by senior party leaders not to speak to the media on the subject as it can harm their poll prospect in the poll bound state of Madhya Pradesh. Election to the state is scheduled for Nov 25.
Earlier, party had decided to give legal support to Sadhvi Pragya Thakur but after fresh evidence against their local leaders party have given it a second thought.
Meanwhile, the party has gather inputs from the Madhya Pradesh which suggests that rank and file of the party are very upset with the central leadership as they feel party has betray their cause.
It is learnt that the former party chief and its ideologue Murli Manohar Joshi is unhappy with the party's latest diktat against its leaders as he feels party can't drag its feet on the issue and should firmly stand behind the local leaders even if their names have surfaced during the investigation.
Mr Joshi has reportedly defended Sadhvi Pragya Thakur and said that ``every action has its equal and opposite reaction''.#
