The brunt of fog is borne mostly by Northern Railway followed by North Central Railway and North Western Railway. Railways traffic and its productivity wanes considerably as a result of navigation problem during dense foggy weather.
The current winter has witnessed unprecedented densest fog during the last more than 25 years as per the weather office information. It's time the RDSO's efforts fructified to alleviate recurring miseries of the rail users.
During 2005, Northern Railway had announced some breakthrough, instilling public hope that the navigation problem would be over. But nothing on the ground has happened. The Railways should update the public as to the fate of the technology mission on fog.#
