It has been an exceptional year for the 18-year-old Lakshya as he has won five titles after having reached final on six occasions in the past twelve months.
The title in Bangladesh is also Lakshya’s fifth in the last seven tournaments. After concluding the year with some impressive performances, Lakshya is hopeful of carrying the form in the upcoming year 2020.
“It has been a great year for me. This has been my fifth international title. So, I am happy to end this year on such a special note. Now I will focus on continuing the winning momentum next year too,” Lakshya said after the match.
However, in the men’s doubles title clash Indian pair of MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila could not managed to beat Malaysian pair of Yee Jun Chang and Kai Wun Tee as they suffered 21-19, 21-16 defeat.
