Under the direction of Priyanka Gandhi, UP Congress Committee has decided to reach out to masses to spread the message of failure of the state government on these issues.

In order to mobilise youth power, UP Congress launched Naukri Samvad program on December 12 through which the party planned to reach out unemployed at village level.

As a part of program which was launched on the birthday of Priyanka Gandhi, Congress leaders heard the problems of unemployed youth.

A large number of unemployed youths are waiting for government to fulfill the promise to create jobs and they feel frustration following denial of employment.

Congress leaders alleged that a large number of migrant labourers returned to villages during corona lockdown and they too were miserable for the lack of job avenues back home.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wants to make unemployment as major issue to bring youth power to party fold for 2022 assembly polls.

Another important issue taken up by Priyanka is the insecurity in women who constitute 50 per cent of total voters.

Priyanka Gandhi recently used social media to express her anguish about the alleged bogus claim of providing security to women through Mission Shakti.

Priyanka said that huge amount of money was spent on the publicity of Mission Shakti while the actual position of women was different.

Priyanka quoted reports from home district of CM Yogi Adityanath Gorakhpur where 12 women lost their lives in different cases.

Priyanka alleged that far from resolving these cases, the police could not even indentify these women.

She further said that thanas were not safe for women as they faced humiliation if they tried to lodge any complaint.

Priyanka said that on an average there were 165 cases of atrocities on women every day in UP. Instead of resolving these cases, the police official humiliated women if they reached thana to lodge complaints.

Priyanka Gandhi said that instead of spending crores of rupees on the publicity of Mission Shakti and Beti Bachao, the government should take firm action to protect women.

Under the direction of Priyanka Gandhi, UPCC President Ajay Kumar Lalloo recently attacked Yogi Government on the issue of malnutrition in the State.

UPCC President alleged that according to UNICEF report, as many as 46 per cent of children in UP were victim of malnutrition and in All India tally, UP was number two.

He further said that callous attitude of the government was reflected through lack of spending on various government schemes meant to provide nutritious food to children through ICDS and other schemes.

UPCC president alleged that according to UNICEF reports, 46 percent of children were affected by malnutrition. Ajay Kumar Lalloo further said that situation in neighbouring district of state capital Barabanki was very alarming where more than50,000 children were affected by malnutrition.

Due to callous attitude of the government and the bureaucracy, several schemes meant for providing healthy food to children had become redundant where proper funds were also not utilized..

While launching attack on the apathy of the government towards the problem of malnutrition, UPCC President said the situation was very alarming as more and more districts were coming under red zone. He cited cases of Basti also where family members died due to malnutrition. (IPA Service)
