Atul Anjaan said that decision was taken at a meeting of representatives of more than 30 farmers organisations enjoying support of other 10 organisations held at the office of Kisan Sabha at Lucknow. As many as 62 important farmer leaders attended the meeting.
Talking to IPA Atul Anjaan said that state level coordination committees of various farmers organisation would be formed to launch state-wide farmers agitation and rallies all over the country in next few months.
The CPI leader said that state level coordination committee would help to spread the farmers agitation at tehsil and village level and it would strengthen the farmers agitation already being carried out at border and other places.
Atul Anjaan said first meeting of farmers would be held at Ghosi on August 9. It would be worth mentioning here that Ghosi is considered to be stronghold of communists. Jharkhande Rai of CPI represented this constituency in Lok Sabha several times.
In the month of October a grand rally farmers would be held at Lucknow to focus problems being faced by farmers due to farm laws and other related issues. Several important leaders would address the rally at Lucknow, Atul Anjaan informed.
CPI leader said that elaborate arrangements would also be made to hold big rally of farmers in Muzaffarnagar where farmers agitation was getting big support.
Exuding confidence Atul Anjaan said that that formation of state level coordination was a big success and Modi Gaddi Chhodo agitation from August 9 would force the central and state governments to look into to genuine demands of farmers and roll back farm laws. (IPA Service)
