Atul Anjaan, said that farmers took the pledge to expand the movement to every village and corner of the country.

Talking about other issues discussed at the national convention, Atul Anjaan said that the delegates as well as speakers condemned the manner in which national assets including public sector units were being sold to corporates and MNCs.

The kisan leader said the manner in which the government was adamant to pursue the changes in farm laws iwould lead to farm debts and large number of farmers suicide.

At the same time Atul Anjaan warned the mood of the national convention which felt the changes in farm laws were not only against the farmers but they would harm the whole society and the country.

The AIKS general secretary informed that the convention called upon farmers to form /districts SKM units and build struggle in states and districts along with all supporting organisations, hold conventions, rallies, oppose toll extractions and protest against BJP and protest against BJP and NDA leaders for refusing to accept patriotic demands of the farmers of India.

According to him, the convention concluded that all proposals of changes to solve the issue advanced by the government provided no relief to farmers apprehension of corporate takeover of agriculture, loss of their land and livelihood and damage to the environment, ecology and biodiversity of India.

Atul Anjaan said the convention felt the movement did the task in uniting people across religion, castes and regions and inspired confidence and participation of most oppressed sections in building a self reliant India. (IPA Service)
