They immediately point out that more difficult part was left for the NaMo regime to tackle. And where are those twenty percent? You cannot find them on roads, trains or buses or even in slums. They are not visible as they are shunned. Most of slow and cheap passenger trains are scrapped from schedules to allow rail journey to be faster. Even ordinary second class coaches are replaced by three tier air conditioned to make travelling to be more comfortable. This is confirmed in regular bulletins by Piyush Goel while he was in charge of Railways. Poor are no more visible it means poverty also vanished with them?

If you point out the Green Revolution liberated India not only from hunger but also from yearly humiliation of begging for grains to feed hunger of her poor millions, they promptly point out and created problem of surplus. As the NaMo government in adopting a positive trend of extricating the government from commercial activities and gave entry to traders in the retail grain trade through new legislations, the agriculturists were instigated to take up confrontation route with the government. New legislations were correcting the wrong approach for three decades the fans argued.

The fan club also argue that the main opposition has lost its role and is being used as the extension of the family estate, Rahul Gandhi had stepped down as the party chief as consequence to his failure to perform better in the last election and now the party is etching to bring him back without his showing signs of learning from his failures.

The most Congress men believe his sister Prianka Vadra will perform better but she proved nothing better and wasted her day in Lakhimpur Khedi in talking of her woes than concentrate on issue of eight farmers mowed down by three cars. Her grievance at denial of restrictions on her movements became a larger issue than agitation of farmers and three cars crushing them down. The family knows nothing of politics.

The Fans adopt silence on asked for the identification of ideology supporting the NaMo regime. The Sangh chief disassociated the Sangh with the NaMo ensemble though more than half the support base is provided by soldiers who retain their Sangh origins. It suggests that the Sangh is more confused than NaMo. The situation of prevailing confusion cannot last longer.

The accident at Lakhimpur Khedi indicates so. No young man with any ideological commitment can wait for nine months to build his anger for such an act. The choice of location and timings suggest it to be political in nature. The accident was caused a week after changes in the state cabinet and with the state assembly polls in few months. Aditya Yogi can’t win without seeking help of NaMo and willingness to pay the price. One can speculate on the price but cannot predict that the Prime Minister will be able to perform yet another miracle to put his new found ally back in power seat.

The Sangh chief would thus be compelled to move with his plan. Thus the second half of the NaMo term may hold the possibilities of high drama of political developments within the ruling party. One may plan future to suit needs as visualized by one but there are other forces that affect the final outcome. The politics is a game but not running according to the plans as other forces also intervene. NaMo may have one set of plans and the Sangh chief may have different objectives. But voters are also in the play with different objectives.

The Lakhimpur Khedi incident is being interpreted differently. Ashish Mishra may have had one objective and the chief minister waited for three days to let the state police to move on when he received no caution or demand from Delhi.
