"For the last four days, I have been on the banks of Ganga in Varanasi. On November 19, 2021 when our Prime Minister Narendra Modiji announced the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws, I was stunned and therefore I am responding after three days," Bharti tweeted.

She followed it up with a second tweet: "What the honorable Prime Minister said while revoking the laws left people like me very hurt. If the PM was not able to explain the importance of the agricultural laws to farmers, it means all of us BJP workers have failed. Why could we not contact and communicate properly with farmers.

"We could not counter the constant propaganda of the opposition regarding the agricultural laws. This is why I was extremely pained with the address of the Prime Minister that day" she added.

The former Madhya Pradesh CM defended the PM saying he has "very deep thinking and understanding of the root of problems". "A person who understands the root of the problems also solves it completely. The coordination between people of India and Narendra Modiji is unprecedented in the political and democratic history of the world" she said, adding that PM Modi has established his greatness even after withdrawing the laws.

State BJP leaders refused to comment on her tweets says it is a "central issue, between two big central leaders". But the state Congress 'saluted' Bharti for exposing the weakness within the BJP organisation. Former minister P C Sharma said, "The BJP organisation has been exposed by Uma Bharti's tweets. BJP claims it is the biggest political party of the world. Now the biggest political party has failed before farmers. The trained cadre has also failed. They could not understand farmers, now farmers will make them understand".

State Congress general secretary (media) K. K. Mishra said "BJP locks the brains of its workers in a locker, whose key is with the national BJP president. Uma Bharti has said a lot through her tweets in the midst of an army of dictators. We salute Uma Bharti".

In order to win over the support of tribals, the Madhya Pradesh government organises what is called 'Jan Jatiya Gaurav Samaroh'. The event was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on November 15. While inaugurating the Samaroh, the Prime Minister also announced that it will be celebrated every year. While addressing the function to mark the conclusion of the week-long programme, Chouhan announced that the tribals would be given the right to manage community forest. They would develop a forest and they will have the right over its wood and produce while land rights (pattas) for residential plots would be presented to them under the Mukhyamantri Awasiya Bhuadhikar Yojna.

The CM was addressing the valedictory ceremony at Ramnagar in Mandla on Monday. The CM also dedicated and performed 'bhoomipujan' of development works costing more than Rs. 600 crore at the venue,

Chouhan said that Mukhyamantri Udyami Kranti Yojna will help in providing loans ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 10 lakh for self-employment on their own guarantee.

The chief minister said that petty and false cases filed against tribals would be withdrawn and land will be provided free of cost to the tribal community for making houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Loans given by private moneylenders till August 20, 2020 to the tribal community at higher interest rates would be deemed as paid, he added. Four rural engineers will be appointed in every village, who will be from the tribal community.

Chouhan said that a medical college would be opened in Mandla, which would be named Raja Hriday Shah Medical College. He promised to rename the primary health centre at Manpur as Tantya Bhil Health Centre and to renovate the Tantya Bhil temple located at Patalpani. Likewise the Patalpani railway Station will be named after Tantya Bhil, he said.

Chouhan digitally launched Baigna Yojana, under which door-to-door survey of all people of the Baiga community will be undertaken and they will be given the benefit of all the welfare schemes of the government. He also released the book "Main Baiga Hoon" published by on Baiga culture.

The chief minister presented a cheque of Rs. 10 crore to the Women of Livelihood self-help groups under the Rural Livelihood Mission.

He said that the government is formulating a new excise policy in which the tribal community will be able to make traditional liquor from Mahua. The right to sell this 'heritage liquor' will also be given to the tribals.

This announcement may face protest from those who demand total ban on liquor production and sale and Uma Bharti is among such leaders. Some time back Uma Bharti announced that she would launch a campaign demanding ban on liquor. (IPA Service)
