CPI leader said that his party supported farmers agitation and would raise their issues during the campaign. He mentioned that growing unemployment in the state and failure of Yogi government would be also be highlighted. He blamed Yogi government for making bogus claim of providing employment to four lakh youth.
CPI leader said that Yogi government spent thousands of crores of rupees in the publicity of the work done during last five years where bogus claims were made and pictures of bridges constructed abroad we're shown in UP.
CPI leader said that his party would also expose as to how BJP and Yogi government tried to communalise the atmosphere in the state to divide the society. He pointed out that the statement of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seeking vote in the name of 80 vs 20 per cent was aimed at communal division. CPI leader said during last five years the state legislature was not allowed to function properly so that no debate should take place.
CP(M) is also contesting 4-5 assembly seats. While they have already declared candidates for Salempur (Reserved) in Deoria, Chakiya (Reserved) in Chaandauli, Korao( Reserved) in Allahabad and Marihan in Mirzapur. CPI(M) spokesman said that party was considering fielding candidate in Rohania seat in Varanasi for which decision would be taken soon.
Regarding poll strategy the party spokesman said that main objective of left parties was to stop BJP and they would support SP candidates or those who could defeat BJP candidates. CPM leader claimed that the party leaders were in touch with Samajwadi Party as it has emerged as main challenger to BJP in the coming assembly polls. CPI(M) leader claimed that party had strong organisational presence in 40 districts and other left parties had support in 60 districts so left parties could influence the election in at least 100 constituencies.
Recently CPI (ML) delegation led by General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya met Samajwadi Party national President Akhilesh Yadav and discussed strategies based on progressive agenda to form public opinion in favour of secular politics. According to party statement, the issues discussed at the meeting included unemployment, farm distress and rising hatred against minorities in the state.
There are many pockets in Azamgarh and Ghazipur and districts close to Bihar where CPI (ML) has strong presence where it can influence voters. (IPA Service)

LUCKNOW: CPI national Secretary Atul Kumar Anjaan told IPA that his party will contest 45-48 seats in Uttar Pradesh assembly polls. List of 32 candidates was released and remaining would be decided later on, he added. The CPI leader said that his party would make all efforts to stop BJP from coming to power in the state again and expose the poor governance of BJP government led by chief minister Yogi Adityanath during last five years.
