It has been observed that the sale proceeds of most of the Panchayat Sanchar Seva Kendras are very low because of (i) fall in demand for postage stamps/stationery due to availability of alternate modes of communication, (ii) lack of interest on the part of Panchayat Sanchar Seva Yojana Kendra agents, (iii) non-supervision on the part of Gram Panchayats over the functioning of Panchayat Sanchar Seva Yojana Kendras despite their commitment to do so, and (iv) non-selection of suitable agents by the Gram Panchayats. Howener, the scheme has been successful to the extent of providing basic postal facilities in villages where post offices do not exist.

Continuous monitoring of the Panchayat Sanchar Seva Yojana Kendras is done during inspections and field visits by the officers of Department of Posts.
