In a final, which went down to the wire Hitesh had to dig deep into his resources to beat Rathi 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

The champion displayed all his variety and skills in the long-drawn title clash. The key was to ensure he maintained composure. Hitesh did that and sealed victory.

“I have just won my Fenesta National U16 and I am really happy. I want to thank my parents and my coach Aditya Sachdeva," said Hitesh.

In the girls under-16 section, Maaya Revathi beat spirited Laxmi Siri Dandu and won 6-2, 7-6 (7/3). “I am really happy to win the Fenesta Open. The match was really good. The umpires of the matches were very good. Looking forward to playing more tournaments," said Maaya.

In the U-14 boys section, Samarth Sahita had an easy time winning t the title as his opponent Arnav Vijay Paparkar conceded the match at 3-4 in the first set. "Winning the title feels very good. I always wanted to win Fenesta and be number 1 in India. So, it feels great today," said Samarth.

Harithashree Venkatesh had little trouble in accounting for Aishwarya Jadhav 6-4, 6-2 to win the U-14 girls crown.

Haritashree has played consistent tennis throughout the wicket. It culminated on Saturday when she showed flair and feel..“It was really a nice match and I won in straight sets. Last year I was a finalist at Fenesta Open. So it feels really good to win Fenesta Open 2022," said the winner.
