The delegation consisting of Gopal Bhargava, senior most minister, Govind Singh Rajput, Minister, Shailendra Jain, Pradeep Laria (both MLAs) and BJP district president met the Chief Minister on Tuesday and told him that Bhupendra Singh does not allow any officer to take any decision without his concurrence. They made several other complaints against Bhupendra Singh. He is giving protection to such people who are against the BJP.. Situation is not congenial in Sagar district.

During prolonged talk with Chief Minister they warned that if their complaints are not resolved they will have no option but to resign en masse. They talked to Chief Minister in a closed chamber. Nobody was allowed to enter the room . The Chief Minister assured that he will sort out the problem. They also told that they have been pressing this issue but nothing was done.

These disgruntled Ministers and MLAs also met party president V. D. Sharma and other top functionaries. They pointed out that Bhupendra Singh is interfering in every administrative and law and order matter.

After lodging complaint with the Chief Minister the Ministers and concerned MLAs decided to stay in Bhopal. They expect another round of sitting with the Chief Minister. They also propose to take the matter with the high command. Political observers are treating this development with grave concern. Besides Chief Minister, the rebel Ministers have also apprised the RSS with their complaint.

Apart, reports are circulating that the state BJP has been divided in three factions. The three factions are one led by Chief Minister, another is led by party president V. D. Sharma and third is controlled by Jyotiraditya Scindia. Reports further claim that Chief Minister and party president have developed differences. As for Scindia is concerned his main concern is to safeguard interests of those MLAs who defected from Congress. What shape these factions will take is difficult to predict.

Meanwhile war of words is continuing between both the heads of BJP and Congress. BJP head has accused Congress chief Kamal Nath of participating in the massacre of Sikhs in New Delhi. Kamal Nath has denied this allegation. “If it was so FIR would have been filed against me. The allegation is totally baseless”. Kamal Nath further said “I am not of the status of V.D. Sharma. He should ask about his deed from the people of his constituency. They are the biggest witness of his deeds”.

Reacting to Kamal Nath’s comment Sharma said “I don’t want to tread the path of Kamal Nath. I go to a poor tribal’s home and embrace him. I accept him as a brother and go to his home with the message of P.M. and tell him about plans of his development”. (IPA Service)
