Meanwhile finding BJP propaganda somewhat weak RSS has taken over the command of two dozen assembly constituencies for the BJP and put in all their resources there. The RSS members are making house-to-house contact, and holding small meetings to create an atmosphere in favour of the BJP candidates. Because the BJP is facing neck-and-neck contest in these constituencies, the RSS will work for the party at the grassroots.

A few candidates associated with the RSS are also contesting from these seats. This is the reason why the RSS members have sing into action. The RSS is working for Bhagwandas Sabnani in Bhopal South-West constituency, Dhruvnarayan Singh in Bhopal Central, Vishnu Khatri in Beresia and Alok Sharma in Bhopal North.

Apart from them, they are also working for Madhu Verma (Rau), Usha Thakur (Mhow), Hemant Khandelwal (Betul), Premshankar Verma (Seoni Malwa), Chintamani Malviya (Alot), Mohan Sharma (Narsinghgarh), Arvind Pateria (Rajnagar), Rakesh Singh (Jabalpur West), Ganesh Singh (Satna), Shyam Vrde (Pansemal), Shailendra Jain (Sagar), Yogesh Pandagre (Amla), Mohan Yadav (Ujjain South), Lal Singh Arya (Gohad), Vijay Anandarawi (Bichhiya), Rajkumar Karraye (Lanji), Prakash Uike (Pandurna) and Devendra Jain (Shivpuri).

Although the RSS and its outfits work for the BJP in all constituencies they straightaway take up the command of a few seats in every election. In the last election also the RSS directly worked for the BJP candidates in Mhow and other seats. So, the organization has begun to do the same exercise, but it is paying more attention to the ensuing election than it previously did.

The Sangh Parivar has chalked out a comprehensive plan to consolidate Hindu or Sanatani voters in favour of BJP candidates in 90 assembly constituencies of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal workers are helping the RSS activists.

MP-CG RSS head of Ashok Sohoney is leading the campaign named “Lok Jagran 2023” to execute the project. Recently, he convened a marathon meeting of more than150 functionaries of RSS and its frontal organizations at a premier educational institution of Ujjain in this regard.

According to sources, no BJP leader was invited to the meeting and when a cabinet minister and BJP candidate from the Ujjain region reached the venue, he was politely asked to leave!

In the meeting, Sohoney reportedly told the attendees that they should work for candidates who are votaries of nationalism and Hinduism and protect the rights of Hindus. He cautioned that instead of speaking against the selected BJP candidates they should suggest ways in which they can create a positive wave for the BJP candidates.

However later, when the Sangh Parivar functionaries met in smaller groups many of them complained against a cabinet minister, a sitting MLA and a former MLA fielded by the BJP under Ujjain Vibhag, which comprises assembly seats of Ujjain and Agar-Malwa districts.

Some developments have happened which surprised the leadership of the party. One such development is the decision of Uma Bharati to keep away from poll campaign. Uma tweeted on Thursday that she was leaving for her native village from where she would go to Orchha to have a darshan of Ram Raja Sarkar, and then, leave for the Himalayas.

She further tweeted that she would pray to God for the formation of the BJP government in the state. She also criticized the state and central governments over various issues. According to Uma, the idol of Goddess Saraswati could not be bought to her abode at Bhojshala in Dhar although the BJP has been ruling the state.

Despite the assurances by a national office-bearer of the party, the doors of Someshwar temple in Raisen and Vijay temple in Vidisha were not opened, she said. Uma said that she would brood over what the BJP government had done to fulfill the people’s dreams. She expressed her unhappiness about the work done by the government for cow protection.

Another surprise was given by BJP veteran Gaurishanker Bisen. Bisen filed nomination from his traditional constituency though the party gave ticket to his daughter. He told media that he file nomination as a cover since his daughter Mausam is not keeping well. Asked if BJP has changed the Balaghat candidate state BJP spokesperson Dr. Hitesh Bajpai said ‘No, there is nothing like that he has filed the nomination as a dummy candidate and nothing more’.
