For example, the Rantisi Hospital, which was where Hamas terrorists returned to after the October 7 massacres, returned with Israeli captives. The Rantisi Hospital is now fully under IDF control and the Hamas there took to their heels. Last reports said tunnels under the Rantisi Hospital were still being blasted as if the IDF wanted to hear how explosives sound when blasted below ground. The Hamas dead include those who were killed in harness, with their combat boots on.

And while the IDF labours under no illusions of what Israel is facing and when the assault on Gaza will be stopped, the world seems to have lost interest and moved on after the initial brouhaha over civilian deaths and Zionists’ “Hitlerite plans” for “innocent Palestinians”, whose lilywhite treatment of Jews was on the lips of all those who have bleeding hearts for Palestinians.

Having said that, whatever happened to the groundswell of worldwide support for the Palestinians? Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who says Turkish President Tyyib Erdogan is Hitler-incarnate, hasn’t mentioned it, but the world has withdrawn and there are no more masses choking the Palestine street. It is as if “genocide” of Palestinians has stopped and there aren’t any more babies getting killed in Gaza.

The hospitals got bombed and the Hamas in-charge of the Hamas-run Gaza healthcare system, who used to give daily briefings at the Al Shifa Hospital, Gaza’s biggest medical establishment, was arrested and removed from Al Shifa and since then things haven’t sorted out to everybody’s satisfaction including to that of the babies and their mums. There are fewer and fewer pictures and videos of men running to Al Shifa with toddlers and infants cradled in their arms, faces coated in fine dust. The Gaza healthcare guy is in Tel Aviv or some other Israeli place, a prisoner of war.

But, to reiterate, whatever happened to global outrage and international condemnation? Whatever happened to the man stomping on the painted blue and white Israeli flag, he appears to have lost interest? The shock has fled the streets in cities worldwide. With that also the outrage and the horror. Whatever happened to the bloodcurdling videos, the horrific images of bloodied battered bodies lying helter-skelter, one there and one here, on highways leading to no particular place? If northern Gaza is stripped of the bombed dead, it’s only because they’re now under bombed buildings, rotting there for peace to return. How long will it take before the dead glazed eyes will see the light of the day?

The “captured tunnels” are also schools. The tunnel shaft descends to 20 to 30 meters. There are elevators, toilets and kitchens. Hamas lived in relative luxury and it must have used considerable manpower and man-hours to build the network, was it forced labour? The Hamas are telling, the entire lot plaguing the tunnel network, their sole desire is to enact another October 7 with as much sangfroid as possible. The miles of the Rantisi Hospital tunnels often strays into the Ramaz Fahrah School in northern Gaza.

A mosque with a tunnel below it was discovered and opened to cameras’ view, the gaping head of the tunnel laid open for whoever wanted a peek. At this point in time, it is Israeli propaganda and Hamas that cannot be heard from above the din created by dropping bombs and sizzling rockets. The Houthi distraction is to blame for Gaza slipping out of the mind. When will the world return to block and choke highways for the Palestinians? Somebody please tell. (IPA Service)
