RSS CHIEF MOHAN BHAGWAT DECLARES ‘TRUE INDEPENDENCE DAY’ OF INDIA
CONGRESS LEADER RAHUL GANDHI EXPOSES THE REAL CHARACTER OF THE RSS
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2025-01-15 11:46
On January 14, 2025, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat declared that India achieved its ‘True Independence’ on Ram Mandir’s consecration day in Ayodhya, that he called ‘Partishtha Dwadashi’. Ram Mandir was consecrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, 2024, but Bhagwat denied even the date as ‘true independence’ day of India, and said it was Paush Shukla Paksha Dwadashi which fell on January 11 in 2025.
If Mohan Bhagwat was to be followed, his brand of Bharat and his RSS clan have just celebrated the first anniversary of ‘True Independence Day’ of India that is Bharat. And if we say he is right then another question follows. Who inaugurated the ‘True independence Day’ for India that is Bharat? Answer will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It may seem ridiculous for those within India and across the world who believed India that is Bharat got its independence on August 15, 1947. Indirectly, he just tried to hush up the entire freedom struggle of India in favour of the rise of Hindu Rashtra that he called ‘True Independence Day’. What will be the answer if someone asks – What will be the ‘True Constitution’ for a ‘True Independence’? Obviously, a Constitution for the Hindu Rashtra is indicated.
What a country gets after its independence? The freedom of hoisting its national flag, as a first symbol of independence, followed by the Constitution of the Country. India’s National Tricolour was officially hoisted first on August 15, 1947, and thereafter the Constitution of India came into effect on January 26, 1950. We in India celebrate the two days by hoisting our Tricolour on both the Independence Day and the Republic Day.
However, in the RSS headquarters at Nagpur, they celebrated by hoisting the national flagfirst on August 15, 1947 and for the second time on January 26, 1950. After that they stopped celebrating the Independence Day and Republic Day of India by hoisting the national Tricolour, with the people of the rest of the country. RSS-clan continued their tradition until 2002. When an RSS Swayamsevak rose to the seat of Prime Minister of India, they thought that they should now hoist the national Tricolour. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister of India at that time who made his RSS-clan leader to agree on hoisting the national Tricolour in their Nagpur headquarters. Their tradition of not hoisting the national Tricolour was broken since 2002 only.
India had been celebrating the 75th year of independence in 2022. Mohan Bhagwat was chosen as the Sarsanghchalak (Chief Executive) of the RSS on March 21 2009. It would be quite interesting to know what he said after hoisting the national Tricolour at Nagpur headquarters on 76thIndependence Day in 2022, which may help to understand his true colour. “Today is a day of pride and resolution...the country got freedom after the sacrifices of several people. This freedom was not attained at the mercy of anyone …,” he had said.
Now, Mohan Bhagwat has said at Indore function, “After India got political independence from the British on August 15, 1947, a written Constitution was made according to the path shown by that specific vision, which comes out of the 'self' of the country, but the document was not run according to the spirit of the vision at that time.”
“The true independence of India, which had faced many centuries of persecution, was established on that day (the day of Ram Temple's 'Pran Pratishtha'). India had independence but it was not established..." he added.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi a day later on January 15 speaking on the inauguration of Congress headquarters in Delhi said that Bhagwat has committed treason by saying so. He said that the fruit of the freedom movement was the Constitution, which was attacked by Bhagwat “when he says that the Constitution was not the symbol of our freedom.”
The “people who are in power today do not salute the tricolour, do not believe in the national flag, do not believe in the Constitution and they have a completely different vision of India that we do”, Rahul Gandhi Said.
“We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself,” said Rahul Gandhi adding that India is now witnessing a clash between two visions – one represented by the Congress and the other by the RSS. “One idea says India is a union of states. As we entered (the building), I saw all the national languages there equally placed together. There is no superior language, no inferior language, there is no superior culture, no inferior culture, there is no superior community, no inferior community, they are all the same. That is written in the Constitution and it is symbolised by this building,” Gandhi said.
“On the other side, there is the idea of a centralised knowledge… of a centralised understanding. Mohan Bhagwat has the audacity to inform the nation every two or three days what he thinks about the Independence movement and what he thinks about the Constitution. In fact, what he said yesterday is treason. Because it is stating that the Constitution is invalid, the fight against the British was invalid. And he has the audacity to say this publicly. In any (other) country, he would be arrested and tried. That is a fact. To say that India did not get Independence in 1947 is an insult to every single Indian. And it is about time we stop listening to this nonsense that these people think they can keep parroting… and shouting and screaming,” Gandhi said.
“They want India to be run by a shady, hidden, secret society. They want India to be run by one man, and they want to crush the voice of the Dalits, the voice of the minorities, the voice of the backward castes, and the tribals. This is their agenda,” Gandhi said.
BJP Chief J P Nadda has hit back Rahul on his saying that they were fighting the “RSS, BJP, the State” alleging that Gandhi has ‘close links with Urban Naxals and the Deep state’ who want to defame, demean and discredit India. He also alleged that the Congress party had a history of working with forces that wanted a weak India.
“Congress has a history of encouraging all those forces who want a weak India. Their greed for power meant compromising the nation's integrity and betraying the trust of the people. But the people of India are wise. They have decided that they will always reject Mr Rahul Gandhi and his rotten ideology,” the BJP President Nadda has said. (IPA Service)
